In the 90’s Peter Boer took pictures for the Dutch national daily newspaper ‘Het Parool’. Mainly news and portraits. From 1998 Boer worked for the Dutch weekly magazines as‘FEM Business’ and ‘Nieuwe Revu’, focussing on features, portraits and economic issues.
Today he is portraitting writers for the leading publisher Prometheus/Bert Bakker and covering news for the Financial Daily newspaper (FD).

Peter has over ten years experience in photographic foreign reports. In 1993 he won the most prestigious prize in Dutch Photography (the ‘Silver Camera’), with a picture taken in Northern Ireland. He later made reports on the economic change in China, the consequences of 9/11 for Pakistan and Afghanistan, and he disclosed a forgotten group of Burman refugees (the Karen). Peter has returned to the Balkans several times, where he has made a visual story of the daily life of current Srebrenica.

In 2004 Boer was based in Delhi, India with his wife and correspondent Ellen van Dalen to cover the election in India and Afghanistan.
